Sticky maple miso chicken wings, perfect for sharing. The sweet maple perfectly balances the savoury Miso with an added kick from the Sweet Smoked Paprika. Delicious served with barbecued corn and smashed cucumber salad.Ingredients

- 950g chicken wings
- Salt and black pepper
For the marinade & glaze:
• 2 tbsp Bart White Miso Paste
• 3 tbsp maple syrup
• 1 tbsp Bart Sweet Smoked Paprika
• 1 tbsp soy sauce
• 1 tsp Bart Garlic Paste
• 1 tbsp vegetable oil
To finish:
• Spring onions, finely sliced
• Sesame seeds
Method
Method
1. In a large bowl, whisk together the miso, maple syrup, Smoked Paprika, soy sauce, Garlic and oil until smooth.
2. Reserve around 3 tablespoons of the mixture in a separate bowl for glazing later.
3. Add the wings to the remaining marinade, season lightly with salt and pepper and toss until evenly coated.
4. Cover and marinate for at least 1 hour, or overnight.
Oven & Grill Method
1. Arrange the wings on a wire rack set over a baking tray.
2. Roast at 220°C fan for 35–40 minutes, turning halfway.
3. Brush with the reserved glaze and place under a hot grill for 4–5 minutes until sticky and lightly charred.
4. Brush with any remaining glaze before serving.
Barbecue Method
1. Cook the wings over indirect heat for 20–25 minutes with the lid closed.
2. Move over direct heat and brush with the reserved glaze.
3. Cook for a further 5–8 minutes, turning and brushing regularly until sticky, caramelised and cooked through.
4. Finish with a final brush of glaze before serving.
