Cheesy Garlic Bread with Hot Honey

Indulge in the ultimate comfort food with this hot honey cheesy garlic bread. Crusty ciabatta spread with roasted garlic butter and topped with bubbling mozzarella and Parmesan. Served with homemade hot honey.

- 1 large loaf of ciabatta
- 1 large bulb of garlic
- 2 tsp olive oil
- 80g softened butter
- 1/2 tsp Bart flaky sea salt
- Pinch Bart freshly ground black pepper
- 250g freshly grated mozzarella
- 40g grated Parmesan
- 2 tsp Bart mixed herbs, for garnish
- 4 tbsp runny honey
- 1 tsp chilli flakes
Method
1. Preheat the oven to 205C/185C fan.
2. First, roast the garlic. Slice around 1cm off the top of the garlic bulb. Pour the olive oil into the bulb and wrap tightly in aluminium foil. Place on a baking tray and roast for 30-40 minutes, until softened and caramelised. Unwrap and allow to cool for 10-15 minutes, or until cool enough to safely touch.
3. Add the softened butter, salt, and pepper to a medium sized bowl. Squeeze the roasted garlic into the bowl. Mash everything well with a fork until fully combined.
4. Slice the bread in half lengthways and spread the butter onto the bread. Combine the grated mozzarella and Parmesan together and sprinkle over the butter.
5. Place onto a lined baking tray and bake for 13-15 minutes, or until the cheese is golden and bubbling.
6. Meanwhile, make the hot honey. Add the honey and chilli flakes to a small pan and gently heat until gently bubbling. Simmer gently for 2 minutes before removing from the heat and pouring over the cheesy bread along with a sprinkling of mixed herbs.
