- 400g sausage meat
- 2 tbsp caramelised onion chutney
- 2 tsp Bart Umami Paste
- 1 tsp wholegrain mustard
- 2 tsp Bart Thyme
- 320g sheet puff pastry
- 1 beaten egg
- ½ tbsp Poppy Seeds
Method
- Preheat your oven to 200C/180C fan/gas 6.
- In a mixing bowl, combine sausagemeat, chutney, mustard, umami paste and thyme.
- Roll out the pastry and then place the sausagemeat down the middle of the pastry. Brush some beaten egg along the bottom of the pastry.
- Wrap the pastry around the meat, pressing the edges down with a fork, then cut into eight equal pieces.
- Brush the top with more egg and sprinkle poppy seeds over it.
- Transfer to a lined baking sheet and bake for about 25 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown.
