- 4 pears (peeled)
- 4tbsp clear honey
- 1tbsp caster sugar
- 300ml water
- 6 Bart cloves
Method
- Preheat the oven to 200c/Gas 6. Put the pears into a baking dish.
- Heat the honey, sugar and water in a saucepan. Bring to the boil and simmer for 2 minutes. Pour over the pears and add the cloves.
- Bake the pears for 1 hour until tender, turning in the syrup from time to time.
- Remove the pears and keep warm. Discard the cloves. Boil the syrup for a few minutes until reduced and thickened. Pour over the pears and serve.
