400g gnocchi
3 tbsp butter
1 tsp. freshly cracked black pepper

Method
Bring a pan of water to the boil. Season generously with salt. Add gnocchi, and cook for time indicated. Once nearly cooked, reserve approx 200ml of pasta water (around a mug full). Drain once cooked.
Meanwhile, melt 2 Tbsp of butter in a pan over a medium heat. Add pepper and cook, swirling pan, until toasted, about 1 minute.
Add most of the pasta water to the pan and bring to a simmer. Add pasta, remaining butter and parmesan. Keep stirring until the cheese has melted. If you’d like it a bit saucier, add some more of the pasta water and cook some more.
Serve with some extra parmesan and cracked pepper on top - because why not!
