Cacio e Pepe Gnocchi
Serves: 4 |
Cook: 15_mins
Info
This peppery, cheesy bowl of goodness is so cheap, so easy and SO comforting. You’ve got to give it a go.Ingredients
Method
Ingredients
- 400g gnocchi
- 3 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp. freshly cracked black pepper
- 100g parmesan
Method
- Bring a pan of water to the boil. Season generously with salt. Add gnocchi, and cook for time indicated. Once nearly cooked, reserve approx 200ml of pasta water (around a mug full). Drain once cooked.
- Meanwhile, melt 2 Tbsp of butter in a pan over a medium heat. Add pepper and cook, swirling pan, until toasted, about 1 minute.
- Add most of the pasta water to the pan and bring to a simmer. Add pasta, remaining butter and parmesan. Keep stirring until the cheese has melted. If you’d like it a bit saucier, add some more of the pasta water and cook some more.
- Serve with some extra parmesan and cracked pepper on top - because why not!
