Greek braised lamb steaks

Deliciously tender lamb steaks with Mediterranean flavours.

INGREDIENTS

4 lamb steaks
1tbsp plain flour
2tbsp olive oil
1 large onion (sliced)
1tsp Bart dried oregano
1tsp Bart garlic paste
400g tin chopped tomatoes
100g pitted black olives
300g small new potatoes
1 orange (grated zest and juice)
150g feta cheese

Greek Braised Lamd Steaks

METHOD

  1. Preheat the oven to 180C/Gas 4. Season the flour and lightly coat the lamb steaks.
  2. On the hob heat the oil in a hob to oven pan and brown the steaks on both sides. Add the onion and fry for 2 minutes.
  3. Remove the pan from the heat and add the oregano, garlic, tomatoes, olives, potatoes, orange zest and juice. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Cover with the lid or foil and bake for 45 minutes, until the meat is tender.
  5. Crumble over the feta and serve with crusty bread.
